Shanna J. Brown, M.D., is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist focusing on state of the art cataract surgery, refractive surgery, treatment of glaucoma, and management of diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. She was raised, along with her brother, near San Antonio, Texas by two wonderful parents both retired from the military. She attended college at Prairie View A & M University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. in Biology in 2001. Dr.Brown attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio and obtained her M.D. degree in 2008. She then went on to complete her internship at The University of Texas at San Antonio and then residency inOphthalmology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Brown truly enjoys serving her patients and treating them just like family. Her bedside manner is calming and informative as she goes the extra mile in explaining medical issues.

Dr. Brown enjoys family time with her husband and two children as well as reading, arts and crafts, and cooking.
